Our sustainability goals

Ethics and respect for the environment

For years, Naba Carni has paid great attention to sustainability. A care that has become an evolution towards an increasingly environmentally friendly approach and production methodology. A daily commitment that sets itself further improvement goals from an ethical and green-oriented perspective, in line with some of the points established by the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

This is the future of Naba Carni, our future guided by ethics and awareness. Because talking about corporate sustainability already means talking about the future. This is where we started and this is where we continue this process of sustainable change.

What does Corporate Sustainability mean to us?

Less waste

Reducing the waste of raw materials according to the 'no waste' concept: sustainability in production also means following a zero waste philosophy, which leads to using the by-products of processing by transforming them into new and useful resources. These by-products are mainly directed towards the production of pet food of the highest quality, thanks to the creation of a virtuous network of collaboration with specialised companies.

Optimising resources

Attention to the energy aspect through the use of innovative, state-of-the-art machinery and technology.

Respect

A concept that permeates every activity and choice carried out or made by Naba Carni. Respect for the people you work with, for consumers and for animals.

Ethics

Acting consistently, protecting and expressing corporate values, clarity and transparency in day-to-day operations both in communication with the consumer and with the market in general.

We are committed to the future

The actions taken already represent strong certainties, but Naba Carni's commitment aims to implement progress in the sustainable field by moving on several fronts:

  • Reducing CO2 emissions during production and processing
  • Increasing use of recycled or recyclable materials in packaging, together with the reduction of plastic
  • Further optimisation of production processes by implementing the use of innovative machinery
  • Evolution of the 'zero waste' model to a broader and more widespread perspective
